The Black Wisdom — Framed Art Print
I had to leave earth to make this one.
I couldn't stop thinking about it until it was finished. I just really wanted to draw the Black Madonna in a vag portal — and when I showed my mom, she looked at it and said, in her full Haitian accent, "why you put Mother Mary like dat?" I laughed and said "because I felt like it." And that was the truth.
But as I kept creating her, I realized I had made something I didn't fully have words for yet. A mystical and cosmic masterpiece. The Black Wisdom.
She is the embodiment of the Black Madonna at her most elemental — not the saint on the wall of a church, not the figure in a prayer card. She is the cosmic mother. She is the origin of humanity. She is the darkness that is not empty but full — full of truth, full of depth, full of everything the light is too loud to let you hear.
She calls us to go within. To stop being afraid of the dark. In a world where racism runs rampant, she asks us to move past our projections and our fears and enter the mystery — because that's where illusions break down. That's where real divinity lives.
She has been in my life longer than I have been alive. My mother prayed to her. I was swimming in her presence before I took my first breath. She is not a figure I discovered — she is a figure I was born already knowing.
The Black Madonna is the Black woman. The cosmos. The mother of all creation. And she is here, in this portal, waiting.
The Indigo Threshold: Indigo is the frequency of deep inner knowing — the place below the surface where wisdom lives without needing to announce itself. The Black Wisdom lives here because she is not asking you to believe in her. She already knows you do. Asé.
Professionally framed and printed on premium paper. Made to order.
