🟡 Yellow Threshold — authority, liberation, radiant self-possession
What color is freedom to you?
Yellow is my answer. Warm. Optimistic. Peaceful. Fresh. Daring, open, bright. The color of what this country has not yet become but what we keep reaching toward anyway.
I painted this in the shadow of George Floyd's death. In the grief of another name. In the exhaustion of dreaming a dream that keeps getting deferred.
Yellow is the solar plexus — the threshold of standing in your own authority, of claiming the power that was always yours. But Yellow also knows the cost of that claiming in a country that has never distributed justice equally.
Until that day comes: no justice, no peace.
And still — yellow. Still warm. Still reaching. Still free in the places they can't touch.
Printed on archival-quality paper, framed and ready to hang. Made to order in five sizes.
