Meet the Lavender Queen (aka Miss Perrywinkle), my genderfluid, non-conforming take on The Hierophant, the card of sacred teaching and spiritual authority.
Iced out in lavender, checkered in black and white, and crowned in gold, she holds her magnetizing rainbow-circle wand in one hand and a sacred text in the other, open to a simple truth: clean heart, sound mind. Her devotees gather at her feet, in awe of her drip.
Her teaching is about decalcifying the heart, finding peace in yourself, faith in the Divine, and renewal of Spirit. But she's not one to preach at anybody. The Queen of Angels prefers to walk alongside everyday people, living her sacred anointing in disguise, minding her business until the Universe manifests her to intercede for her human family. You won't find her in spaces that glorify whitemalegod (coined by Dr. Christena Cleveland in her book, God Is A Black Woman). You'll find her dancing in the cosmos, at the crossroads of your subconscious, showing up in the juice aisle right when you forgot you're a star. ⭐️
Hang her where you need the reminder that your breakthrough doesn't come from perfecting the mask. It comes from reclaiming your power.
